John McBlain is a senior accounting and finance professional with over 30 years of experience. Prior to joining Winona Capital in the fall of 2006, John was the Chief Financial Officer of KB Partners, LLC, a venture capital firm with two funds and $100 million of assets under management.

Before joining KB Partners, John held several positions, including chief financial officer and director of strategic planning, with such diverse companies as Cohen Financial Corporation, Focus Financial Group and Cyborg Systems. He is a CPA and was an audit manager with Coopers & Lybrand (predecessor to PriceWaterhouseCoopers).

John received his master’s degree with distinction from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management and his bachelor’s degree from Grinnell College.
