As a Vice President, Ian brings a strong background in transaction oriented corporate finance and portfolio management. Prior to co-founding Winona Capital Management, Ian worked as an Associate at Laird Norton Company in Seattle, WA where he was actively involved in the oversight of the firm’s portfolio, and where he played a key role in several pivotal transactions in the firm’s history.

Previously, Ian worked as a Vice President for Windswept Capital, a Seattle-based boutique investment bank focused on mergers and acquisition advisory services for leading middle market businesses. While at Windswept, Ian played a leading role in 19 transactions ranging from strategic sale assignments to leveraged recapitalization with values ranging from $5 to $150 million.

Ian received his BA from the Colorado College and received his MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.

Ian serves on the board of American Education Group.
